Jesus Saenz, do you honestly think we can trust Phil Johnson's commment on that blog? It seems like he was joking or else there would be confirmation elsewhere. If there is confirmation elsewhere then, please, let me know. thanks.

I am a Christian, a single mother who has two sons , 19 and 21. my sons used to follow me to Church when they were young. But now the eldest one started doubting in God and enter into tatooing for others.

His customers came to our house for tatoo and that annoyed me. He told me he needs monies to support himself and his motor bike since I have limited income.

I told him about God's view on Tatoos, but he do not learning.

What should I do, I am a failure mother.

I'm a big fan of marking up biblical text with pencils instead of pens. With a 7B or 8B soft lead pencil (or higher) and very little pressure you can achieve a smooth mark with no page stress. There are soft micro leads available as well for smaller bibles.

As I mentioned on Mark Bertrand's Bible Design Blog, a pencil's ability to revise, retract, or repair your edits is perfect for exegesis because you are always approaching the same text from different angles. A pencil and a good eraser allow you to update your train of thought.

I highly recommend a trip to an art supply store and browse the variety of lead and charcoal blend pencils. You may find yourself going "old school" on Scripture.

The fact remains that if your desire is to destroy the Protestant Church, the Christian Church, the Church founded on Scripture alone, the first thing that you would do is to destroy the authority of the original manuscripts and translations. You would do this by introducing a flood of faulty manuscripts and translations, all differing from the other. Today, apparently there is a new translation in English published every week. Some naive pastors encourage the use of these many translations even though they all differ, not only in wording but intent. It becomes a matter of choosing the Word of God that suits what you want to hear. They never discuss the differences and consequences. It is a reflection of the low standard of Biblical studies in our Bible colleges today.

I don't know if this post will even be read or not, but i just stumbled upon it because i want a tattoo myself. I feel confident that it's ok for me to get a tattoo but the tattoo i want to get is in remembrance of my cousin/best friend who died of leukemia. This tattoo is more of a celebration of my favorite moment with her & a celebration of her being in heaven. I haven't quite prayed about it yet, but i also don't feel a nagging guilt every time i think about it either(which usually happens when i want to do something that is sinful). What are your thoughts on this?

There is huge difference from the work of a Roman Catholic to that of a Jesuit. The Jesuit, dedicated to overthrowing Protestantism deliberately deceives. The Catholic (Martin Luther) may be seeking the truth and may find it.

I love this; absolutely. i'm not really a "blogger," to be honest i've never done it, but these responses were very helpful to me. i'm thinking about getting a small tattoo saying "faith" and the "t" being a cross. i've contemplated, not really knowing biblically if it is right or wrong. i still am not exactly sure, but have a better understanding. i don't think it would be financially smart for me to get one right now, but maybe in the future.
